The soaps are made in Auroville, India, a self-sustaining community focused on developing unique solutions for sustainable development. Each soap bar replaces about 2-3 plastic bottles of liquid soap, making our soaps a great way to reduce your everyday plastic waste. In addition, the added probiotic microorganisms can help keep the oceans clean through their ability to consume unwanted bacteria and synthetic chemicals in the sewer waters before they find their way into the oceans, causing damage to ecosystems. All Indo Naturals brand products are vegan and cruelty-free. We evaluate all main ingredients to assure social and ecological responsibility, including impact on wildlife. The soap bars are made with locally sourced organic coconut oil cultivated traditionally using natural pesticides. 
 
Composting & Recycling
Our soap boxes are made of FSC-certified recycled paper and can be reused, recycled, or composted. The soap wastewater does not harm ecosystems if used correctly [do not use in small, still, water bodies as too much saponified oils can cause imbalance in a small eco-system].
